*Orchestra Baobab: "Aline" (Made In Dakar 2007) Senegalese Afro-Cuban formed in 1970 as a multi-ethnic, multi-national group integrating Congolese Soukous, Wolof Griot & Mandinga musical traditions. Broke up 1980 and reformed in 2001 when interest in their music revived in Europe.
*Youssou N'Dour: "Birima" (Joki (From Village To Town) 2000) Senegalese singer began performing at age 12 & sang with "Star Band", the most successful group in Senegal at the time, by his mid teens.
