*The Bahama Soul Club: "Rumba Fugaz feat. Arema Arega" (Havana '58 2016) German band led by drummer, composer & producer Oliver Belz blending soul, jazz, funk, blues, afro, Bossa Nova & Caribbean influences. AR: Cuban sing/songwr. & producer living in Barcelona.

*Adrian Quesada & Ikebe Shakedown: "Spirits" (Jaguar Sounds 2022) American multi-inst. composer & producer, (Black Pumas, Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, etc.) IK: Brooklyn cinematic soul, Afro-funk & boogaloo instrumental band.
*Orgone: "Jawbone" (Connection 2021) Am. funk, soul & afrobeat band from LA led by Dan Hastie (keys, prod.) & Sergio Rios (guitarist, engineer, prod.)
*Kind & Kinky Zoo: "Poulpe Fiction" (Swamp! 2022) Lausanne, Switzerland funk/rock/r&b/soul band. Exploring the frontiers between raw funk, garage rock and ambient jazz.

*Pretenders: "Back On The Chain Gang" (Learning To Crawl 1983) English/American rock band formed in 1978 w/Chrissie Hynde on lead vox and rhythm guitar & songwriter. Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 2005
*Everything But The Girl: "Anytown" (Love Not Money 1985) British singers/songwriters Tracey Thorn & Ben Watt. Formed in the early 80s went from lite-jazz to folk to electronic. Got their name from an ad for a furniture store: "For your bedroom needs. We have everything but the girl."
*The Go-Go's: "Lust To Love" (Beauty And The Beat 1981) All female punk/new wave band from LA formed in 1978. Charlotte Caffey: guitar, keys Belinda Carlisle: lead vox Gina Shock: drums Kathy Valentine: bass & Jane Wiedlin: rhythm guitar. Considered the most successful all-female rock band of all time.

*Lowell George: "Honest Man" (Thanks, I'll Eat It Here 1979) Am. singer songwriter, guitarist, multi-inst & producer. Formed/led Little Feat, played with Frank Zappa. Died from heart attack caused by accidental heroin overdose in 1979.
*Jon Cleary: "Would I Lie To You?" (Moonburn 1999) London born vocalist, pianist & songwriter based in New Orleans since 1980.
*Dr. John: "I Ate Up The Apple Tree feat. Randy Newman" (N'Awlinz: Dis, Dat Or D'Udda 2004) Malcolm John Rebennack 11/41-6/19 American singer/songwriter from New Orleans playing blues, funk, jazz, r&b & boogie woogie. Started piano at age 6. Age 13 met Professor Longhair and began playing professionally. In the late 60s he became "Dr. John, The Night Tripper" integrating voodoo influences
*Kermit Ruffins: "West Indies Jazz Dance" (The Big Butter & Egg Man 1994) New Orleans trumpeter, singer & composer. Co-founder of the Rebirth Brass Band.

*James Brown & The Famous Flames: "Night Train" ( Same 1966) The Flames started in juke joints playing gospel & r&b. In their early days JB played the drums and only later became "The Godfather Of Soul" & "The Hardest Working Man In Show Business."
*Lord Newborn & The Magic Skulls: "Disco Loco" (Same 2009) Producer/musicians Money Mark, Shawn Lee & Tommy Guerrero collaborated on this mix of jazz, funk, bossa nova, prog rock & electronic pyschedelia
*Anderson .Paak: "Anywhere (Instrumental)" (Oxnard (Instrumentals) 2018) American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer & drummer. In 2021 formed super duo Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars

*Tim Maia: "Que Beleza" (Racional Vol. 1 1974) Brazilian singer, guitarist and Father of Brazilian Soul introduced modern US black music to national pop music linking funk, samba & baiao and bringing soul closer to bossa nova.
*Bebeto: "Princesa Negra De Angola" (Black Rio, Vol. 2 Brazil Soul Power 1968-1981 ) Brazilian singer, songwriter & guitarist. One of the biggest names in Brazilian 'samba rock'
*Marcelo: "Algo No Ar" (The Brazilian Funk Experience ) Marcelo Markes singer, songwriter & producer playing funk, soul, hip hop & reggae. Known for blending different styles to create innovative music.

*Tape Five: "Burn The City" (Soiree Deluxe 2017) German band founded by singer, songwriter, producer Martin Strathausen playing swing, electro swing, latin, lounge, trip hop, dub & chill out.
*Blundetto: "White Birds feat. Hindi Zahra" (Bad Bad Things 2010) Electro funk, soul, reggae, dub, hip hop, afrobeat & latino from French producer Max Guiguet. HZ: Moroccan singer and actress.
