*Diesler: "Deepest Cuba" (Tie Breakers 2010) DJ/producer Jonathan Radford laid back vibes & uptempo beats from jazz and funk to latin rhythms.
*Chris Joss: "Reshaped" (Hyperacusis 2020) French multi-inst. producer plays jazz, funk, electronica & lounge. Suffers from hyperacusis, a type of reduced tolerance to sound, and cannot perform live.

*The Whitefield Brothers: "Thunderbird" (In The Raw 2001) Munich, Germany funk & afrobeat band feat. brothers Jan & Max Whitefield (Weissenfeldt) Previously known as "Poets Of Rhythm"
*The Mighty Show-Stoppers: "Hippy Skippy Moon Strut" (Black Feeling 2007) Assembled by Aussie Lance Ferguson (Ldr, lead guit. The Bamboos) using The Bamboos, Cookin' On 3 Burners & guest artists and using pseudonyms for the bands to pay tribute to funk and afrobeat of the past.

*Sun Ra: "Saturn" (Singles-The Definitive 45s Collection Vol. 1 '52-'61 ) Am. free-jazz composer, pianist & bandleader Herman Poole Blount. Pioneer of improvisation & early user of electro. keys & synths. Started the "Afrofuturistic" movement w/Egyptian style or science fiction costumes and regalia.
*Akira Tana: "The Guardman" (Secret Agent Man 2002) American jazz musician plays drums, percussion & keyboards and is a bandleader played with many jazz greats like Brandford Marsalis
*The Jazz Defenders: "Twilight" (King Phoenix 2022) UK quintet led by pianist/composer George Cooper play a modern soul/jazz slant on hard bop, channeling and championing the golden age of Blue Note.
*Jenova 7: "You Dig?" (Dusted Jazz Vol. 3 2019) Boston multi-media artist Michael J. Sirois plays trip hop, downtempo, chill-out & instrumental hip hop.

*Leon Russell: "Delta Lady" (Leon Russell 1970) American musician/songwriter member of the famous LA session players "The Wrecking Crew" Rock, funk, soul, blues, pop, folk, world & country. Led the Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour & album with Joe Cocker.
*Little Feat: "Dixie Chicken" (Dixie Chicken 1973) Founded by Lowell George when he and Roy Estrada were fired from FZ's MOI.  Melded jazz, folk & country into their own style of rock. LG died in 1979 from an accidental overdose.
*Dr. John: "Let The Good Times Roll" (The Ultimate Dr. John 1972) Mac Rebbenack Am. sing/songwr. began piano at age 6. Style known as bayou funk, funk, R&B, jazz & boogie woogie. Adopted the "Dr. John The Night Tripper" persona in the late 60s incorporating voodoo imagery and elaborate costumes.
