*Lucky Brown: "Steamed Greens, Pt. 2" (Lucky Brown's Space Dream 2011) Am. musician, composer & label owner Joel Ricci. (Seattle based Westsound Recording Collective) LB alias & stage persona explores deep funk past to musically map soul's path from underground to outer space.

*Sadistic Mika Band: "Dontaku" (Black Ship 1974) Japanese glam/rock/funk band led by Kazuhiko Kato guit. w/ singer/wife Mika Kato, drummer Hiro Tsunoda (replaced by Yukihiro Takahashi) & guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka. 
*Harry Hosono & The Yellow Magic Band: "Shambhala Signal" (Paraiso 1978) Haruomi Hosono Jap. multi-inst. prod., singer/songwriter. Considered to be one of the most influential figures in Jap. pop history.
*Yukihiro Takahashi: "New (Red) Roses" (Neuromantic 1981) Jap. musician, singer, producer & actor. Drummer & lead vox for Yellow Magic Orchestra, (formed with R. Sakamoto & H. Hosono) & drums for Sadistic Mika Band. Recorded 37 solo albums

*Ocote Soul Sounds: "Agua Santa" (Taurus 2016) Founded by Martin Perna NY multi-inst., producer, singer  (also Antibalas) teamed up w/multi-inst. Adrian Quesada when his car broke down in Austin on a trip to Mexico. 'Ocote' is Aztec language Nahuatl referring to a Mexican pine tree, used to start fires.
*Los Lobos: "Angels With Dirty Faces" (Kiko 1992) Am. rock band from East LA playing rock, TexMex, country, folk, zydeco, folk, R&B, blues & brown-eyed soul, cumbias, boleros & nortenos. 
*Los Fabulosos Cadillacs: "Navidad" (La Salvacion De Solo Y Juan 2016) Argentinian ska band from Buenos Aires. Released first album 1986. One of the most influential ska bands in Latin America. Lead singer Gabriel Fernandez Capello (Vicentico) & bassist vocalist Flavio Cianciarulo (Sr. Flavio) founded LFC and perform most of the songwriting & lyrics.
*Money Chicha: "Pacifico" (Chicha Summit 2021) Austin Tx band playing psychedelic cumbia music based on the 'Chicha' music of Colombia & Peru of the 60s & 70s
