*Whirimako Black: "Hohou Te Rongo" (Hohou Te Rongo 2002) Whirimako Black is a singer/songwriter & actress from Aotearoa (NZ). She sings in the Maori language and utilizes taonga puoro: indigenous instruments.
*Our Native Daughters: "Black Myself" (Songs Of Our Native Daughters 2019) Allison Russell, Amythyst Kiah, Leyla McCalla & Rihannon Giddens are four black female banjo players, singers & songwriters highlighting contributions of African music & instrumentation in folk and popular music. 
*Susheela Raman: "Vel Undu" (Vel 2010) Singer/songwriter born in London of Indian parents. Moved to Australia at 4 yrs old. Performs her own music built on the sacred Bhakti and Sufi traditions of India and Pakistan. She works with her partner guitarist/producer Sam Mills.

*Taj Mahal: "Strut" (Dancing The Blues 1993) Born Henry St. Claire Fredericks TM is an Am. singer/songwriter & multi-inst. incorporating world music, Caribbean, Indian, African, Hawaiian and South Pacific, into his personal style of the blues.
*Ike Turner: "I Don't Want Nobody" (Risin' With The Blues 2006) Am. musician, bandleader, arranger & producer has been called a "great innovator" for his early contributions to rock 'n' roll. He became infamous for his treatment of wife Tina Turner.
*Little Axe: "Midnight Dream" (Hard Grind 2002) Adrian Sherwood & Skip McDonald. Started as a solo project for Skip McDonald who played sessions for early rap records before creating his own take on the blues feat. dub, r&b, gospel & jazz.

*De-Phazz: "Dummes Spiel" (Daily Lama 2002) Downt. jazz ensemble from Germany led by producer & 'sound painter' Pit Baumgartner incorporating dub, lounge, trip hop, Latin & world music into their sound. Dummes Spiel translates to 'stupid game.'
*Club Des Belugas & Lene Riebau: "Playing On The Radio" (How To Avoid Difficult Situations 2021) CdB core is Maxim Ilion, Martin Kratzenstein (prod. arr. comp. keys) & Kitty The Bill, Katrin Stoffel (keys, songwr.). They are a European nu-jazz group. LR: Danish jazz singer
*Wax Poetic: "Inside" (Copenhagen 2006) NY based trip hop band founded by Ilhan Ersahin, Turkish Swedish sax. keys & composer.  Sissy Clemens sings.

*Jovino Dos Santos: "Bo Ta Cool" (L'Afro Latino Disco 1983) Songwriter performer from Cape Verde lived in Portugal briefly before moving to France in the '70s.
*Mamo Lagbema: "Love, Music And Dance" (Single ?) Togolese singer playing Afrofunk
*Youssou N'Dour: "Birima" (Birima EP 2000) Sengalese singer, songwr., composer & politician. Developed the 'mbalax' style of Senegalese music. Became a sensation in Dakar at age of 16 singing with Ibra Kasse's Star Band.
*Hailu Mergia: "Ambasel" (Hailu Mergia & His Classical Instrument: Shemonmuanaye 1985) Ethiopian keyboardist known for role in The Walias, one of the most important bands in Ehtiopia's golden age '70s

*Greyboy: "See My Eyes" (Soul Mosaic 2004) Andreas Stevens producer/composer working out of Long Beach, CA. Co-founder of The Greyboy Allstars playing hip hop, soul, experimental & acid jazz rare grooves.
*Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears: "I'm Gonna Leave You" (Scandalous 2011) BJL & THB formed 2007 in Austin TX playing blues, soul & rock 'n' roll.
*Bill Withers: "Kissing My Love" (Still Bill 1972) Soulful singer/songwriter. He worked as a mechanical assembler for several companies before releasing "Ain't No Sunshine" in 1971 refusing to give up his job because of the fickleness of the music industry.  Passed in 2020 at age 81.

*Bill Laswell, Bernie Worrell & Karsh Kale: "Woo Doo" (Funkcronomic EP 2016) BW: Am. bassist, producer & label owner. BWo: Am. keyboardist, comp. & prod. played with Funkadelic & Talking Heads. KK: Indian musician raised in US blends tabla & Indian perc. w/electronic beats.
*Adrian Quesada & Ikebe Shakedown: "Spirits" (Jaguar Sound 2022) AQ: Austin TX based producer, multi-inst. composer (Black Pumas, Brownout, Money Chicha etc.) IS: Cinematic soul, deep disco, Afro funk & boogaloo band.
*Afro Latin Vintage Orchestra: "Requiem Pour Un Grooveur" (Last Odyssey 2012) Founded 2007 led by Multi-percussionist, beat maker, composer Masta Conga (Lionel Berton) from Paris, France playing jazz, funk, hip hop & spiritual grooves

*Arturo Sandoval: "MarteBelona" (The Latin Train 1995) Cuban jazz trumpeter & pianist. Played with Dizzy Gillespie in the 70s and formed his own band in 1981.
*Tito Puente: "Lambada Timbales" (Goza Mi Timbal 1990) Puerto Rican-American timbalero playing latin jazz, salsa & mambo. Musician, multi-instrumentalist & bandleader.
*Rafael Cortijo & Ismael Rivera: "Arrecotin-Arrecotan" (Arrecotin-Arrecotan/Bamba Cure 1969) Puerto Rican composer/percussionist/bandleader. Ismael Rivera Puerto Rican composer/salsa singer.
