*Nickodemus: "Rumba Tobacco Y Ron feat. Haydee Soul & The Candela Allstars" (Soul & Science 2023) NYC DJ/producer Nick DeSimone runs Wonderwheel Recordings. HS: Cuban singer/flutist
*Las Cafeteras: "El Zapateado" (It's Time 2012) Socially conscious Latinx band from East LA fusing spoken word, folk music & traditional son jarocho music from the Vera Cruz region of Mexico.

*Kylie Auldist & The Bamboos: "Still Into You" (Just Say 2008) Samoan-Australian soul/funk singer moved from far western New South Wales to Melbourne to pursue music. Sang w/Cookin' On 3 Burners.
*Marta Ren & The Groovelvets: "2 Kinds Of Men" (Single 2013) Portuguese deep funk/raw soul singer on the Portuguese scene since the mid 90s.
*Gemma & The Travellers: "True Love" (True Love 2019) Singer/songwr. Gemma Marchi fronts this soul, R&B & funk outfit. GM writes songs with Anglo-Swedish guitarist Robert P. whom she met after leaving Italy.

*Dr. Rubberfunk: "A Little Blahzay feat. Izo FitzRoy" (My Life At 45 2020) British multi-inst. producer & DJ Simon Ward has been steadily shaking up the funk/soul diaspora since his first single dropped in 2001.
*The Cactus Channel & Sam Cromack: "Sleep Demon" (Do It For Nothing-EP 2017) Started as an instrumental soul/funk band & expanded into psychedelic vocals and collaborations. SC: Aussie singer & leader of indie rock band Ball Park Music.
*Boulevards: "Surprise" (Electric Cowboy: Born In Carolina Mud 2022) Funk artist Jamil Rashad from Raleigh NC exorcizes his demons with classic funk mixed with country, jazz and punk rock.

*Boozoo Bajou: "S.I.P." (Dust My Broom 2005) Downt. & dubtronic duo Peter Heider & Florian Seyberth from Nuremberg, Germany blend electronica with blues, jazz, soul, latin and dub.
*Bonobo: "Antenna" (The North Borders 2013) British multi-inst., producer & DJ Simon Green experiments with jazz & world music in an electronic vein.
*Clutchy Hopkins & Lord Kenjamin: "Cold And Wet" (Music Is My Medicine 2009) Supposed multi-inst. composer out of California may, or may not, be the work of Shawn Lee, Money Mark or Madlib... Whoever he may be, the music speaks for itself...

*Carlinhos Brown: "Derivado Petrolifero" (Semelhantes 2017) Brazilian singer, percussionist, composer & producer blends funk, latin, soul, R&B, reggae & trad. Brazilian percussion. 
*Bossacucanova: "Consolacao feat. Silvio Cesar" (The Best Of... ) Brazilian group mixing electronica with bossa nova with Marcio Menescal, DJ Marcelinho DaLua & sound engineer Alex Moreira.
*Farofa Carioca: "Moro No Brasil" (Moro No Brasil 1998) Formed by Seu Jorge in 1995 the socially conscious music of FC gave them instant identification with the masses.  Seu Jorge left in 1999 and the group continued with Gabriel Moura on vocals.

*Gyedu-Blay Ambolley: "Adwoa" (Simigwa 1975) Highlife musician, composer & producer from Ghana was first to blend hip hop & highlife creating 'hiplife.'
*Hedzoleh Soundz: "Mee Bee (When)" (Hedzoleh Soundz 1973) Band from Accra, Ghana in collaboration with Hugh Masekela who was introduced to the band by afrobeat originator Fela Kuti.
*Manu Dibango: "Pata Pata feat. Kaissa Doumbe" (Wakafrika 1994) Cameroonian saxophonist & vibraphonist merged jazz, funk and Cameroonian music. His first big hit in the west was "Soul Makossa"

*Neil Innes: "Etcetera" (The Innes Book Of Records 1979) British singer, pianist, composer & satirist Neil Innes was a founding member of "The Bonzo Dog Band" with fellow British eccentric Vivian Stanshall.
*Vivian Stanshall: "Terry Keeps His Clips On" (Teddy Boys Don't Knit 1981) English singer/songwr., musician, author, poet & wit. Bonzo Dog Band alum and incredibly idiosyncratic performer & storyteller.
*The Bonzo Dog Band: "Straight From My Heart" (Let's Make Up And Be Friendly 1972) The Bonzos combined elements of music hall, trad. jazz, psychedelic rock & avant-garde rock to create their signature zany and intelligent music.
