*Pit Baumgartner & Joo Kraus: "I Sing (Trumpet Version)" (Low Sky Sketches 2014) Pit Baumgartner is German-Austrian soundpainter, sound designer, producer & leader of De-Phazz. Joo Kraus is a German trumpet player & keyboardist.
*Blundetto: "Mama Genso" (Cousin Zaka Vol. 2 2022) French producer, DJ, singer & composer Max Guiguet plays electro, funk, soul, reggae, jazz, hip hop & world music.
*Boozoo Bajou: "S.I.P." (Dust My Broom 2005) Downtempo & dubtronic duo from Germany Peter Heider & Florian Seyberth mix blues, jazz, soul, latin & dub into their electronica sound.

*Bootsy Collins: "WantMe2Stay feat. Uche & Branford Marsalis" (The Power Of The One 2020) William Earl Collins is an Amer. funk, R&B bassist. He played with James Brown as well as the P-Funk Mob before going solo.
*Boulevards: "How Do Ya Feel" (Electric Cowboy: Born In Carolina Mud 2022) N. Carolina funk artist Jamil Rashad plays, in his own words "party funk jams for the heart and soul to make you move."
*Chicago Afrobeat Project: "No Bad News feat. Tony Allen, Kiara Lanier & Legit" (What Goes Up 2017) CAP is a 7-14 pc. world music ensemble whose sound encompasses afrobeat, hip hop, funk, jazz, juju music & rock. They use afrobeat as a jumping off point to explore other styles. TA: Fela's orig. drummer, KL: singer/songwr. fm Chicago.

*Pizzicato Five: "Baby Portable Rock" (Baby Portable Rock-EP 1996) Japanese pop group founded by Yasuharu Konishi (songwr., guitar, bass, keyboards & vocals) with Maki Nomiya the third vocalist, but the one who lasted longest.
*Keiko Mari: "Tsukikage No Rendezvouz" (Nippon Girls ) Japanese actress & singer She was in the movie Godzilla vs. Hedorah in 1971.
*Chica Boom: "Onegai Kamisama" (Chica Boom 1992) All female Japanese salsa band led by Azusa Morimura. They played the "Carnaval En La Habana" in Cuba fm 1989 thru 1992. They increased the popularity of salsa music in Japan after winning the "Brightest Hope Award" in 1993.

*The Cheebacabra: "Extend The Knowledge" (Pass The Information 2012) Amer. psych funk fusion band formed by 'The Cheeba' (Paul Cheever) after he left the Dust Bros. production team. He is the brother of Aja West (The Mackrosoft & Mackrosoft Records.)
*The Mackrosoft: "Tri-Curious" (Pocket Knife 2020) Specializing in hybrids of funk, fusion, soul, jazz & electronic music led by multi-inst. producer & label owner Aja West. Recorded in 1996. AW passed away on Nov. 4, 2022 his 46th birthday.
*Lucky Brown: "The Fresh One" (Lucky Brown's Space Dream 2011) Seattle deep funk pioneer & composer Joel Ricci runs the Westsound Recording Collective & Tramp Records and uses a sampling of the funk talent locally available to make his records.
*Lord Newborn & The Magic Skulls: "Disco Loco" (LN & TMS 2009) Collaboration of multi-inst. producer, Shawn Lee, guitarist/producer Tommy Guerrero & musician/producer Mark Ramos-Nishita (aka Money Mark.)

HOUR 2

*The Jimi Hendrix Experience: "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" (Electric Ladyland 1968) Guitarist singer songwr. Jimi Hendrix fronted this psych/rock band supported by bassist/backing vox/songwr. Noel Redding & drummer/backing vox. Mitch Mitchell. The 3 albums they produced established JH as a rock icon and arguably the best guitar player ever.
*Ike Turner: "Bi-Polar" (Risin' With The Blues 2006) Ike Turner was known as a great innovator in R&B & rock music. His song "Rocket 88" with Jackie Brenston is considered by many as the first rock n roll song. He formed "The Ike & Tina Turner Revue" with wife Tina Turner in the 1960s.
*Robert Randolph & The Family Band: "Good Times (3 Stroke)" (Unclassified 2003) Gospel, funk & R&B band led by steel guitarist RR. He was listed as one of the top 100 guitarists by Rolling Stone magazine. As an adolescent he was almost totally unaware of secular music.

*Rock Follies: "Biba Nova" (Rock Follies 1976) British singers Charlotte Cornwell, Rula Lenska & Julie Covington were cast as "The Little Ladies" in the UK TV show of the same name which documented their attempt at stardom. The music was written by Howard Schuman & Andy Mackay of Roxy Music.
*Thunderball: "Chicachiquita feat. Miss Johnna M" (Cinescope 2006) Wash DC based trio of Sid Barcelona (keyboards/producer/composer, Steve Raskin (performer/producer) & Rob Myers (guitar & sitar) Johnna Miller became Mrs. Raskin/
*Sono Rhizmo: "My House" (Sono Rhizmo ) One of the spin-offs from German musician/producer Ralf Droesemeyer. He is one half of Mo' Horizons & produces complex soundscapes in his electronic music fusion.

*St. Germain: "So Flute (Ludovic Navarre Amapiano Reprise)" (Extra Cabin Baggage 2021) Stage name of French musician/producer Ludovic Navarre. He plays jazz house, nu jazz & world music.
*Bobbi Humphrey: "Spanish Harlem" (Flute In... 1971) Amer. jazz flutist singer & composer. One of the first women instrumentalists signed to Blue Note Records in 1971.
*Dorothy Ashby: "Action Line" (Afro-Harping 1968) Amer. jazz harpist, singer & composer established the harp as an improvising jazz instrument. She moved from jazz to R&B & world music even adding the Japanese koto to her repertoire.

*The Echocentrics: "Muerto En Vida feat. Natalia Clavier" (Echo Hotel 2016) Multi-inst. producer Adrian Quesada started The Echocentrics in 2011, while still juggling his other bands: Brownout, Spanish Gold etc. Natalia Clavier sings on this cut. She is from Argentina & relocated to Barcelona.
*Gina Chavez: "Maiz" (Up.Rooted 2014) Amer. bilingual latin singer & songwr. from Austin TX. She and her wife founded "Ninas Arrriba", a college fund offering full scholarships to girls in El Salvador.
*Novalima: "Mil Noches feat. Pahua" (La Danza, Pt. 2-EP ) Novalima is a Peruvian band blending Afro-Peruvian music with electronica, latin beats & other genres. They collaborate remotely from Lima, London, Barcelona & Hong Kong. Pahua: Mex. sing/songwr. DJ/prod. Paulina Sotomayor.
*Ocote Soul Sounds: "Carino" (The Alchemist Manifesto 2008) Founded by Martin Perna in 2001. They recorded four albums and released a number of singles.
