*The Shaolin Afronauts: "Brooklyn" (Quest Under Capricorn 2012) Shaolin Afronauts are an Australian instrumental afrobeat band modeled after Fela Kuti's Africa 70 band and Sun Ra playing avant garde jazz, soul and traditional African and Cuban percussion rhythms.
*The Whitefield Brothers: "Sad Nile" (Earthology 2009) Psychedelic funk & afrobeat from Munich, Germany feat. Jan Weissenfeldt (Whitefield) & brother Max. They were originally known as 'Poets Of Rhythm.

*Zuco 103: "Da Hora" (Ethno Chic 2016) Dutch band feat. Brazilian singer Lilian Viera, Dutch drummer Stefan Kruger and German keyboardist Stefan Schmid. They play the music of Viera's native Brazil.
*Fernanda Porto: "Tanto Tempo Faz" (Auto-Retrato 2008) Brazilian singer of drum 'n' bossa: Drum 'n' bossa combines electronic music with bossa nova & drum 'n' bass.
*Rosalia De Souza: "Ipanema" (Garota Moderna 2002) Brazilian bossa nova singer who traveled to Italy at age 21 to study music theory, Cuban percussion & jazz at the popular school of Testaccio in Rome.

*Rufus feat. Chaka Khan: "I'm A Woman (I'm A Backbone)" (Rufusized ?) Amer. funk band from Chicago best known for launching the career of funk/soul singer Chaka Khan who formed her first band "The Crystalettes" at 11 yrs old.
*Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings: "Genuine, Pt. 1" (Soul Time! 2011) The Dap-Kings were the house band for Desco Records funk catalogue. Lead singer Sharon Jones joined them and drew comparisons to James Brown. SJ had previously been a corrections officer.

*Bei Bei & Shawn Lee: "Attenzione" (Year Of The Funky 2017) Bei Bei He is a Chinese Guzheng player who studied in Beijing & Hong Kong. She combines Chinese folk music with jazz & soul as a solo artist and in collaboration with Amer. multi-inst, producer, composer Shawn Lee.
*Dorothy Ashby: "Little Sunflower" (Afro-Harping 1968) DA was an Amer. jazz harpist, singer & composer who took the harp from it's novelty, background role and elevated it to a lead improvisational instrument in jazz music.
*Bobbi Humphrey: "Smiling Faces Sometimes" (Dig This 1972) BH was an Amer. jazz flautist and composer & one of the first female instrumental artists signed to Blue Note Records in 1971.

*Quantic & Nidia Gongora: "Balada Borracha" (Almas Conectadas 2021) Nidia Gongora is a Colombian sing/songwr. from Timbiqui, Colombia in the Pacific Region. She highlights the region's trad. folk music, known as curralao, which features music performed on marimba and percussion. 
*Gina Chavez: "Soy Quien Soy" (Up.Rooted 2014) GC is a multi-ethnic, queer Austin native & Catholic Latinx pop/folk artist who is redefining Latin music in Texas and beyond. She is a cultural ambassador for the US State Dept.

*Hattler: "Acid Blues No. 1" (Sundae 2021) German bass player, composer & bandleader Hellmut Hattler is known for his distinctive, innovative stlye. Hattler (the group) was inspired by young electronic musicians & delves into more electronic sounds.
*The Herbaliser: "Setting Up" (There Were Seven 2012) Jazzy hip hop group formed in Twickenham England in the early 90s by Jake Wherry (guitar, producer) & Ollie Trattles (DJ, producer.)
*The Mackrosoft: "Headless Hydra" (Snakerhythms 2018) Leader, composer, producer Aja West recorded his most "free jazz" music here supported by the likes of legendary drummer Joe Porcaro and Dhani Harrison, son of Beatle George Harrison.
