*Menahan Street Band: "Devil's Respite" (The Exciting Sounds Of... 2021) Brooklyn NY based band playing funk & soul music founded by Tommy Brenneck guit. prod. eng. while living on Menahan St. in Brooklyn.
*Lucky Brown & The S.G.'s: "More Sweet Tea" (Sweet Tea (With My Sweetie) Single 2019) Seattle funk maven Joel Ricci with his trademark danceable deep funk sound.
*Los Lobos: "That Train Don't Stop Here" (Kiko 1992) Latin rock, TexMex, country, folk, R&B, blues & trad. Spanish/Mexican music from principal songwriters David Hidalgo guit./accordian & Cesar Rosas guit.
*Lowell George: "Honest Man" (Thanks, I'll Eat It Here 1979) Amer. guitarist/slide guitarist, sing/songwr. & founder of Little Feat.
*Little Feat: "Juliette" (Dixie Chicken 1973) Little Feat formed when Lowell George & bassist/singer Roy Estrada left or were fired from The Mothers Of Invention. They melded jazz, funk & country into their signature rock sound.
*Latin Quarter: "New Millionaires" (Modern Times 1985) Brit. band founded by Steve Skaith (vox, guit.) Mike Jones (lyricist) & Richard Wright (guit. back vox) in 1983.
*Everything But The Girl: "Ballad Of The Times" (Love Not Money 1985) Tracey Thorn & Ben Watt began in the early 80s in the jazz-lite music scene. Their songwriting turned to addressing more politically charged subject matter on this album.

*Almon Memela: "The Things We Do In Soweto" (Next Stop Soweto Vol. 4 ) So. Afr. comp. guit. & prod. Almon Memela sought guitar lessons at Dorkay House education & performance centre, but was asked to teach instead.
